FOLLOW THESE, OR ELSE. Donators who abuse will lose their rank.

Rules:

1. No racist, prejudiced, hateful speech on this server. While the US has a first amendment protecting the freedom of speech. No racism, bigotry, prejudice, or harassment based on gender, race, or religion will be permitted. Period. Violating this rule is a SERIOUS offense.

2. No griefing on faction-owned or GP-claimed land. You can protect your blocks by creating a faction, or by using a chest or golden shovel to claim an area of the wilderness. Killing you is not griefing, it is part of this PVP-enabled server. If you want to avoid death, build walls, a roof, and DOORS, and then protect them with faction land or the GP plugin. Hacking or griefing in protected areas is a SEVERE offense.

3. No repeated spawn killing. This means if you are using a weapon from one of the mods which allows you to kill on faction-owned land, and you see that when you kill someone they reappear right in front of you, do not immediately kill them again. Give them 5-10 seconds to get their bearings, and exercise their option to use /spawn or /warp shop or any warp they like to run away. Repeatedly spawn killing someone ruins their experience. It is a SERIOUS offense.

4. No excessive swearing. We understand sometimes you get frustrated, and even may swear in daily conversation. This is an all-ages server, so please try to keep it to a minimum. Swearing in /msg or /tell is allowed as long as you are not using it to harass people. Remember, the admin and moderator can see your private messages too. Excessive swearing is a MINOR offense.

5. No 'hacking' using mods or alternative clients. If you want to fly, donate. Do not use any fly mods or hacked clients to get this ability. Do not spawn items using hack clients. If we see you with stacks of a seriously expensive or hard-to-make item, or if you are seen or reported by another player, you may face some harsh consequences. Creating additional accounts to get around bans is hacking. Don't do it! Hacking is a SEVERE offense.

6. No spamming chat. This includes advertising shops, factions, items for sale, or asking questions. Once is enough, and if a person you are trying to chat with hasn't responded, wait a while before trying again. Repeatedly demanding free items of other members, and especially of staff, will probably result in swift punishment. If you are asked to be quiet about something, or to stop spamming - stop immediately. Continuing to do so will get you in trouble. Spamming is a MINOR offense.

7. No asking for permissions. This means do not request to be made VIP, or a moderator, or an admin, or an op. If you are qualified and have followed the right steps to apply, the admin will let you know if you can be promoted. The VIP rank can be obtained by donating to the server's upkeep. Repeatedly asking for permissions or a promotion will result in some bad consequences, and will likely mean you don't get whatever role you are asking for. Demanding ranks is a MINOR offense.

8. No abusing glitches. This means that if you find a glitch which allows you to create or destroy items in a way not intended, or if you find a way to obtain or use banned items, you may not use it. Abusing a glitch or flaw to obtain money, power, items, or to grief other players is a SEVERE offense.

9. No claiming over faction's land with GP and vice versa. It means that GP protection is equal to faction. However you may claim unclaimed chests, which are protected with lockette. If that user is inactive or doesn't care about it, the lockette protection will be removed by moderator or admin. Breaking this rule counts as SERIOUS offense.

Punishments for Offenses

MINOR Offenses:
A MINOR offense means you have done something bad which was mostly just annoying to the staff or other players. This will result in either a kick, a temporary muting, or a short temporary ban. The punishment for your actions depends largely upon the mood of the person dishing it out, but it will be fair and appropriate to the crime.

SERIOUS Offenses:
A SERIOUS offense means you have disrupted the server's gameplay. If you do this, you have ruined someone's fun on the server, and we will ruin yours right back. This will often be met with a temporary ban, but may be serious enough to warrant a permanent ban depending on the nature of your crime. Sentencing will be left to the person administering the punishment.

SEVERE Offenses:
A SEVERE offense means you have disrupted the server's normal operation, and have made the game nearly unplayable for one or more people. This is not forgivable, and will result in an immediate permanent ban of your username and IP address. Bans may be appealed on the forum on a per-person basis, but unless contested they are immediate and permanent.

MULTIPLE Offenses:
If you commit multiple MINOR or SERIOUS offenses several times, you will be permanently banned as if you had committed a SEVERE offense. All bans are contestable on the forum as well, and may be removed if the admin is feeling generous.

This is not a complete list of the rules, nor will these rules always remain the same. New rules may be added, and existing rules may be changed. Please check back often to make sure you are up-to-date these rules.
